A Letter from Executive Director

Fundraiser Auction and Operations

March 22, 2020

Due to the fact that many people are currently facing financial uncertainty because of the Coronavirus outbreak, our Executive Committee has made the decision to postpone the online auction fundraiser until later this year.  Additionally, we have made the painful, but obviously necessary decision to suspend all therapy and retreat activities until further notice. As soon as it is prudent to do so, Heroes and Horses Healing will resume our planned activities to benefit veterans and active duty military personnel whose lives and families can benefit from our work. Clinical Director Dede Beasley and I are staying in close touch with officers and senior NCOs from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, as well as therapists from the VA and other agencies who refer participants to us, so that we will poised to move quickly as soon as we can safely resume our activities.  In addition, we will remain in close (but not too close) contact with our invaluable volunteers, and our partners at River Edge Farm Horse Rescue and Camp Cedar Crest.

We want to assure all who have worked to build and support HHHvets that we are absolutely committed and able to continue our mission for the long term.  We have very low overhead, with most of our expenses occurring on a per-event basis. Those of us who work as unpaid volunteers will continue to put in the hours needed to keep HHHvets alive and vital.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Please stay safe and healthy.  More soon.

Here's why...

Veterans dealing With PTSD are

15 TIMES More Likely

To Commit Suicide

The VA’s low ball estimate that 22 veterans take their own lives every day is probably only the tip of a tragic iceberg. These numbers ignore the results of numerous credible published studies.

To help HHHvets help Veterans and families combat PTSD, please become a partner on the journey by donating today. Thank you.
