The Open House held Sunday, June 25, 2017 was a GREAT SUCCESS! The weather was beautiful and the donors, volunteers and other supporters, and veterans families turned out in much greater numbers than we hoped for. Our visitors enjoyed the fun and the food. The most popular activity by far was small group demonstrations of what this therapy program is all about. Our extraordinary Clinical Director, Dede Beasley, was joined by Tim, a graduate of our first class.

 

Tim, along with this wife from our first couples equine therapy session, and Moose, the rescued horse Tim bonded with during that 7 week class of 14 sessions, told and showed the small groups about our program, and answered many questions about the therapy curriculum (except for Moose, who only made happy horse sounds when our visitors petted him). Several people expressed keen interest in going through our classes, or for a friend or family member to attend the classes.

We are working now to set up the next class to begin early or mid-August.
